Welcome to Six Feet Over!

Six Feet Over is a non-profit organization that prevents suicide and helps individuals heal in the wake of suicide loss in Michigan.

By educating individuals and cultivating awareness about mental illness and suicide, as well as assisting individuals with the resources they need, at the time they need them most, Six Feet Over is enabling Michigan communities to prevent, intervene, and heal from suicide, improving our public health for current and future generations.

The greatest benefit we offer is assistance to families who recently lost loved ones to suicide. The unexpected costs of losing a loved one can make the grieving process even more difficult, so we coordinate direct donations to those families.

Our Families

"It's been almost two years since I got the worse phone call of my life. I didn't know how to process suicide, and I didn't have any support either. While looking on the internet for help I came across Six Feet Over – they were such a blessing, it felt as if my Dad sent me their way. They were supportive and helpful, and if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have been able to give my Dad a proper farewell. For that I'm forever thankful."
