Where are you from?
Grosse Pointe, MI
Why are you involved with Six Feet Over?
The minute I met Katie Hardy I knew I wanted to be involved! Such a great cause to support and a fantastic group of people on this Board to work with.
What emotional reasons?
Though suicide has never directly effected me, I have witnessed the effect it has had on several individuals that I care about. Raising awareness is equally important to our mission of helping those who have survived a suicide loss, and I feel very emotionally connected to the prevention aspect of this group.
What’s your day job?
Assistant Planner at an advertising agency in Detroit!
Who is your hero?
My mother. For so many reasons. She’s just the best.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Getting together with friends and family; particularly hosting get-together’s and making dinners for people I care about! Love exploring the dining and bar scene in Detroit as well.
What really burns your biscuit?
Closed-minded people. THE WORST.
Your favorite quote:
Anything Oprah says. But a personal favorite is, “The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”
I can’t live without:
Coffee! Red Wine! I need both.
If you could tell a younger you one thing, what would it be?
Love yourself more! Stop comparing yourself to others.
