Megan Featherstone

Board Member & Volunteer Coordinator

Where are you from?

Detroit, Detroit. 48219

Why are you involved with SFO? What emotional reasons?

My lived experience with depression and anxiety/mental illness makes me want to advocate for the destigmatization of people like me – and support those who suffer or have suffered in loss.

What inspires you?

Passionate people who can laugh and cry and still want to create change in the world.

Who is your hero?

Shirley Chisholm! unbought and unbossed.

One thing that is quirky about you:

I’ve climbed the Great Wall in China 6 times – is that quirky? It’s a fun fact, FUN FACT!

If given the chance to do anything for a month, without financial limitations, what would you?

Toilet paper under or over?

I thrive when…

I’m challenged and can solve problems.

If you could tell a younger you one thing, what would it be?

It may not always get better, but it’s never going to stay the same. And your hair choices were great, ALWAYS.
